This is a 16-week course for those interested in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician.  Lectures will be held most Tuesday evenings (6p-10p) with Labs held Sundays (9a-5p).  [15 lectures and 11 (+ 1 open lab) total].

This EMT Basic course is under the certification of N.R.E.M.T. and Sierra Sacramento Valley Emergency Medical Services Agency. Upon successful completion of this course, students can be certified to work in the Emergency Medical Services System as an EMT-B. This course represents a 156 hour commitment to classroom and lab work, plus 12 hours of clinical observation. This course exceeds the state-mandated and National Registry criteria while emphasizing a scenario based curriculum; a curriculum exemplified by our outstanding faculty and staff. All students must have a valid Healthcare Provider CPR card in-hand. Students may be excused from 1 lab and 1 lecture throughout the duration of this course – all absences must be pre-approved by the Primary Instructor.
